I don’t mind a brownie battered counter top, knowing that warm chocolaty desserts will be in my mouth within minutes. I don’t mind having buttery and caramelized jam on my fingers and face to get the chance to enjoy this sandwich!

Unspoken Commitments

I’ve shared in previous posts, our journey with my daughter’s diagnosis with Type I Diabetes. Although, I am very thankful that it is a treatable disease and she can live a long healthy life, we have definitely had to make adjustments. Our days are filled with finger pricks, carb counting and insulin dosing. I am not a diabetes expert, doctor or educator. Instead, a wife to a type 1 diabetic for 16 years and mamma to a type 1 diabetic for 6 years.

Game Day

The frost glistens, as the subtle sun reflects off the wintery white. My son’s cheeks redden as he saunters out to our wood pile snagging another log to top off the roaring fire inside.
